The Opportunity
Te Rarawa Anga Mua invites you to apply for the position of Family Start Whānau Worker. We are looking for a vibrant and energetic role model to join our Iwi Social Service team.
About the Role
Family Start is a child-centred, intensive home visiting programme that focuses on improving children’s health, learning and relationships, family/whānau circumstances, environment and safety.
The programme support families/whānau who struggle with challenges or problems that put health, education and social outcomes for their children at risk. Participation by families/whānau in the programme is voluntary.
Family Start workers should be facilitators of change who place child safety at the forefront.

What we need from you
- To be a registered social worker is preferred OR working towards a degree in Social Work.
- Experience working with people from different cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
- Sound written and oral communication skills.
- Good time management and organisational skills.
- Hold a clean full driver’s licence.
- NZ residency or a permanent NZ work visa.
- A strong sense of integrity, resilience and in-depth problem solving.
- A strong understanding and commitment to goals and objectives.
