Te Rarawa Special General Meeting (SGM)

We write to advise that the Te Rarawa Special General Meeting (SGM), originally scheduled for Saturday, 29 August 2026, has been postponed.
This decision has been made to:
- Allow our whānau additional time to consider the proposed changes; and
- Acknowledge the additional time provided by Te Ohu Kaimoana.
New Meeting Details
Date: Saturday, 3 October 2026
Time: 9.00am
Venue: Toka Tumoana
Please note that the SGM will not proceed this weekend and will instead be held on the new date above. Notice for the new meeting will be provided in accordance with the Trust Deed.
We encourage all iwi members and whānau to make use of this additional time to review the proposed changes, discuss them with whānau, and come prepared to participate in the hui on 3 October 2026.

Notice is given that a Special General Meeting (SGM) will be held to consider and vote on proposed amendments to the Trust Deed of Te Rūnanga o Te Rarawa as required to ensure compliance with the Māori Fisheries Amendment Act 2024.
Date: Saturday 3 October 2026 (new date)
Time: 9:00am Registration

Resolution:
“That the Adult Te Rarawa Members of Te Rūnanga o Te Rarawa resolve to accept the proposed amendments to the Te Rūnanga o Te Rarawa Trust Deed as set out in the proposed version of the Trust Deed circulated, tabled and discussed at the Special General Meeting on 29th August 2026, to take effect immediately”.
Voting will be conducted by way of a show of hands at the SGM
