Our primary approach will be to optimise existing commercial land holdings and leverage them to develop other land-based opportunities. Increased collaboration across Māori-land holdings is potentially a significant opportunity within the rohe of Te Rarawa and Te Hiku o Te Ika.

The intent of the investment is to increase the local processing and supply capacity of apiary companies based in Te Hiku o Te Ika, while also providing a return for Te Rarawa.

The ICP venture partners include Aotearoa Fisheries Limited (AFL), Sanford, Pelco and Tahi Marine. The ICP partners export seafood products to markets within New Zealand, Australia, the Pacific Islands, South Korea, China, Japan, Singapore, Russia, the United Kingdom and the United States.
